I used a gallon in my carpet cleaner. After applying, let it do it's thing for 24-26 hours. When I went the room at that time, the odor was unbearable. So that made the decision to try rinsing with tepid water and sucking it up. It was better but I still feel like one more application is needed. It definitely cleaned the stains better than any product I have used!
